India recently voted against Israeli settlements in Palestinian territories at the UN. In October, India had abstained from voting against Israel. But now India had defended its anti Israeli stance by saying that its a ‘routine’.
India has historically supported the Palestinina cause on the basis of principle. As India knows pretty well what the partition of India and subsequent formation of Pakistan based on religious lines has done to its people. External affairs minister of India once again proves that he can deal with the international media on his own terms and conditions, quite comfortably.
