Hatred and over zealous nationalism has been rampant in India under the present Hindutva goverment.
A man by name Diminic Martin claimed responsibility for the blast and surrendered in the police station few hours later. According to Martin, he himself was a Jehova’s witness and worked with them for 16 years. Then overtime, he got disillusioned and found that thr Jehova’s witnesses were ‘Anti-Nationals’, a term often used by the Hindutva Sangh Parivar members.
Ever since India has drifted away from tbe philosophy of Gandhi and gotten closer to that of Godse (the guy who shot Gandhi), such violent activities are often justified as ‘patriotism.’
Martin seems to be inspired by RSS and Sangh Parivar (if not directly linked to it). The way he is trying to project himself as a sane person and as a responsible citizen is mindboggling.
Two people were killed, one 12 year old girl is fighting for life in the ICU and many more are seriously injured.
