Archbishop of Sebastia: Prayers and candles are not enough

☦️ Atallah Hanna (H.A.), Archbishop of Sebastia in Al-Quds, is boiling over the Saint Porphyrius Church Massacre in Gaza. ☦️

“This is a new massacre and an attack on Christian heritage committed by the occupation. It is targeting the Christian presence in Gaza and even in all of Palestine, where Christians are an essential component.

“We urgently call on His Holiness the Pope and the heads of churches around the world [regardless of denomination] to raise their voices and not be content with prayers.

“Palestinians are united today more than ever in the face of this aggression.

“Awareness among peoples worldwide is broadly increasing, away from the policies of regimes, because there is [utter] distortion regarding Palestine.

“The occupation and the West target social media sites supporting Palestine and efforts must be made to convey Palestine’s true image.

“Prayers and candlelight alone are not enough for Palestine; there must also be clear and explicit positions.” ☦️
