People say music has no boundaries or language barriers. This song proves it right. I felt an emotional journey listening to this song. Any person with humanity live in their heart will definitely shed a tear two after listening to this song.
Lyrics:
“50 years under Israeli rule,
A million families torn apart,
Grief-stricken and heartbroken,
My sorrow, my Palestine.
Palestine, Palestine, my Palestine,
I cry for you, O Palestine.
I cry for you, O Palestine.
Day and night, it is always the same,
Women crying, children screaming,
Thunderstorms rain down F16s,
Death is everywhere.
Two long years of Intifada,
Stones flying in the West Bank and Gaza,
I can’t escape or hide
Among the rubble of the battlefield.
Palestine, Palestine, my Palestine,
I cry for you, O Palestine.
I cry for you, O Palestine.
Sacred land trodden by the infant Jesus,
The land of Abraham, Moses
And Muhammad, oh my sorrow,
It has been destroyed by Sharon’s hands.
It was foretold by Jesus Christ in Jerusalem,
“Not one stone will be left standing”,
The prophecy is coming true,
My sorrow, my Palestine.”
Note: The song ends with (supposed) a prophecy by Esa Ibn Marium (as) ‘Not one stone will be left standing’. We (Muslims) respect and believe it if he (alaihi saalam) had said that. But our prophet Mohammad (saw) told us that there will be a war where Muslims and their true Christian brothers will be victorious. The war of all wars, the End Times war. Which will forever settle the dispute between good and evil.
