Iran has kept its drone program active and running since the Iran-Iraq wars. The US seems to have secretly helped the Iranian regime through the back markets and the secret double agents in developing high quality Unmanned Arial Vehicles. Because we know the game- arming both sides has always been the game.
Hamas and Hezbollah, with the help of Iran, have been deleoping the drones from a decade. Hezbollah has been actively using drones against Israel since the 2006 Hezbollah-Israel war. In 2014 Hamas used its home made drone ‘ababeel’ in the war against Israel. Inspite of the assassination of Mohammad Al Zawari Hama’s drone expert from Tunisia, by the Israeli Mossad, Hamas’ drone program kept growing with the help of Iran and Hezbollah.
In 2014 Hama’s Ababeel-1 reconnaissance drone flew into Israeli airspace without being detected by Israeli radars. At that time it was revealed that the bomber version of Ababeel was able to carry 30kgs of explosives. In 2022 Hamas had declared that it will be using drones in its next encounter with Israel.
